2023 TERRAIN Denali Safety

SAFETY
To help you avoid collisions, Terrain Denali comes with a suite of intuitive driver-assist and safety technologies, including Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a Rear Vision Camera. Additional safety features such as the Surround Vision Camera are also available to help increase your awareness of nearby traffic or obstacles.

Front Pedestrian Braking

If the system detects that a pedestrian is directly ahead and a collision is imminent, and the driver has not already applied the brakes, the system alerts the driver and may even automatically apply the brakes to help the driver avoid or reduce the harm caused by the collision. Performance is limited at night.

Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking

If your vehicle is travelling at a low speed and the system detects that a front-end collision situation is imminent while following a detected vehicle and you have not already applied the brakes, the system automatically applies the brakes to help reduce the collision’s severity. The system may even help avoid the collision at very low speeds.

Head Up Display

HD Surround Vision

Provides the driver with a high resolution overhead “bird’s eye” view of the scene around the vehicle on the GMC Infotainment screen, and adds several additional views.  Helps you park and avoid crashes with nearby objects during low-speed maneuvering.

Rear Park Assist

When driving in Reverse at less than 5 mph, it provides distance-to-object alerts to help you park and avoid nearby detected objects directly behind your vehicle during low-speed maneuvering.

SAFETY

AVAILABLE REAR PARK ASSIST

Ultrasonic sensors help you avoid objects while in reverse. An obstacle is indicated by audible beeps, and the beeps get faster as the obstacle gets closer.

AVAILABLE SAFETY ALERT SEAT

Seat vibrations alert the driver of potential traffic danger using directional vibration pulses within the seat cushion, relaying inputs from a number of available advanced safety technologies including Forward Collision Alert and Lane Keep Assist.

AVAILABLE LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

Provides brief gentle steering wheel inputs to help you avoid crashes due to unintentionally drifting out of your lane when you are not actively steering and your turn signal is not activated.

AVAILABLE LOW SPEED FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING

This camera-based system can help reduce the severity of some front-end crashes at low speeds by automatically braking for an imminent collision with a detected vehicle. At very low speeds, the system may even help to avoid the collision altogether.

AVAILABLE REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT

Radar sensors monitor about 65 feet to the sides and rear of the vehicle and use the Rear Vision Camera and available Safety Alert Seat to help warn you of approaching cross traffic while in reverse.

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning

This feature provides gentle steering wheel turns (and Lane Departure Warning alerts if necessary) to help you avoid collisions due to unintentionally drifting out of your lane when you’re not actively steering and your turn signal is not activated.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

When in Reverse, it provides alerts to help you avoid approaching detected left- or right-cross traffic (e.g., out of a crowded parking space or driveway with side obstructions).

Due to global Semi-Conductor supply shortages, GM vehicles may not have some standard features and options. Please check with your local GMC dealer to confirm the vehicle specifications prior to purchase. Vehicles not equipped with Automatic Stop/Start will be less fuel efficient.
